Abstract

We applied the analytic methodology described by Lima et published in Revista Portuguesa de Medicina Interna to a sample of 211 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation admitted due to acute ischemic stroke or transient cerebral ischemia. We report 146 patients (69,2%) eligible that were not anticoagulated. These patients presented a higher comorbidity index than those anticoagulated. We consider that future studies could in-clude this analysis.
