Abstract

VIEIRA, Ana Margarida et al. Pemphigus Vulgaris with Anal Involvement. J Port Gastrenterol. [online]. 2011, vol.18, n.2, pp.86-88. ISSN 0872-8178.

INTRODUCTION: Anal involvement in patients with Pemphigus Vulgaris has rarely been reported. We report a case of a 76-year-old woman with muco-cutaneous Pemphigus Vulgaris on systemic corticotherapy who started with hematochezia and anal pain associated with constipation and difficult defecation. Flexible sigmoidoscopy was normal but proctologic examination revealed skin tags with multiple erosions. After local corticotherapy and normalization of bowel movements, healing of anal lesions was seen.

Keywords : Pemphigus vulgaris; anal pemphigus vulgaris; gastrointestinal involvment in pemphigus.
