Abstract

Acute alcoholic hepatitis is an often misdiagnosed condition, which relates to its multiple clinical manifestations, in association with mild analytical changes, often present in patients with significant history of alcoholic consumption. The authors intend to review the current knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of this potentially fatal disease.
