Abstract

MONTEIRO, Gina et al. Satisfaction of patients undergoing motor rehabilitation after hip arthroplasty and knee arthroplasty. Mill [online]. 2021, n.esp9, pp.139-147.  Epub Dec 07, 2021. ISSN 0873-3015.  https://doi.org/10.29352/mill029e.24180.

Introduction:

The intervention of the Rehabilitation Nurse is a determining aspect in the functional readaptation of the patient submitted to total hip arthroplasty (ATA) and total knee arthroplasty (ATJ). In this context, the project “Habilitar” includes a systematization of actions developed in the context of Pre-hospitalization, Post-operative and at discharge leading to health gains.

Objetive:

Assessing the patient satisfaction after ATA and ATJ regarding the motor rehabilitation program implemented under the “Habilitar” project.

Methods:

Descriptive, transversal study. The SNQ-10 Satisfaction Questionnaire was applied at the day of discharge. All 85, between January 1st 2018 and December 31st 2019, in ”Habilitar” project were included.

Results:

Data obtained revealed that 63% of patients were female, with an average age of 68,9 ± 9,4 years. Of these, 53% were submitted to ATJ and 47% to ATA. Regarding sociodemographic variables there was no association between them and patient satisfaction (p>0,05).. Concerning the SQN-10, we found a high degree of patient satisfaction in “patient care” and “ therapeutic environment”.

Conclusion:

We found a high degree of patient satisfaction within the “Habilitar” project, related to the implemented rehabilitation program.

Keywords : patient satisfaction; rehabilitation nursing.
