Abstract

LOUREIRO, Ricardo et al. Specific instruments for measuring the person's quality of life after acute myocardial infarction - scoping review protocol. Mill [online]. 2022, n.esp10, pp.103-109.  Epub July 29, 2022. ISSN 0873-3015.  https://doi.org/10.29352/mill0210e.27103.

Introduction:

Considering the growing importance of the person's quality of life, the scientific community is incessantly focusing on the best measurement instruments. In this regard, one of the points of current research is in cardiovascular diseases, where we include acute myocardial infarction.

Objective:

With this investigation, we aim to map the specific instruments for measuring and evaluating quality of life and the dimensions integrated into them, aimed at the person diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction, constituting the purpose of this scoping review protocol.

Methods:

A scoping review will be prepared according to the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute. In parallel, the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis extension for scoping reviews) methodology will be used. The research strategy will aim to integrate published and unpublished studies.

Results:

Data will be extracted by two independent reviewers, using a pre-defined instrument, which can be adapted during the process. The research will be carried out without establishing any time horizon and will include publications in Portuguese, Spanish and English, regardless of the geographic area where they were developed.

Conclusion:

It is essential to map specific instruments for measuring the person's quality of life after acute myocardial infarction, given the complexity of care instituted by the multidisciplinary team, and the specific care that this pathology demands.

Keywords : myocardial infarction; quality of life; scale.
