Introduction:

The global demographic aging will determine an increasing number of people with long-term care needs, particularly in nursing homes. It's hard and re contextters for these. It is important for nurses' supervisors to have competences in gerontogeriatric nursing, to be a positive influence on nursing students.

Objective:

To analyze the teaching factors, the teaching practices of clinical teaching in relatives of the elderly to contribute to the improvement of the quality of supervision practices in these environments.

Methods:

An integrative literature review, carried out in the content aggregator of the Virtual Library of the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto and in the Trip Medical Database, in a temporal strategy between 2014 and October 2021. Data were extracted using a table, which helped in the content analysis.

Results:

Of the 53 articles identified, 9 studies were included in this review. From the data synthesis, the following factors emerged: the student's characteristics, the teaching-learning context, the supervisory relationship and the clinical teaching equipment.

Conclusion:

Initial training is maximized as learning experiences in this sector, due to the recognized potential of these environments, with a view to a personal description of the qualified contexts for this sector.
