This paper proposes a multidimensional reconstruction of the concept of social power, which is associated with a typology of social forms of exercising domination and resistance. First, we suggest a distinction between interactive power, episodic or dissuasive, and structural power, as authority or capacity. Second, we propose an adaptation and theoretical revision of the typology of social forms of power by John Scott, distinguishing between domination by restriction or persuasion and between resistance by opposition or pressure.
