RAMOS, Marise. Culture and knowledge of technical workers in Family Health teams. Etnográfica [online]. 2022, vol.26, n.2, pp.489-509.  Epub 19-Set-2022. ISSN 0873-6561.  https://doi.org/10.4000/etnografica.11905.

The article presents results of the study of the knowledge of mid-level health technicians from Family Health teams in Brazilian municipalities. The central hypothesis is the existence of a culture of these workers within the team. Data construction was based on Caria’s (2010) theoretical problematic about the existence of a reflexive duality in the use of knowledge in professional work and, for the analysis, we used Evans’s (2009) dual mind theory, articulated to the discussion on performance in the work of Eraut and Hirsh (2007). The investigation consisted of observing the technicians’ work and conducting interviews, focusing on the interactions between workers and those with users in the daily work. In conclusion, we suggest confirming the hypothesis, understanding that the work culture of health technicians within the Family Health team is predominantly supported by practical-experiential knowledge developed by them in an autonomous and shared way.
