The main purpose of this article is to study the natural gas project of Pande & Temane and to assess the perspectives of development of the Oil & Gas sector in Mozambique that in recent years has been the subject of a deep institutional transformation. The rise of the world prices of the natural gas and the evolution of the level of technical innovation in the sector are presented as major factors influencing the determination of the volume of reserves available and the formulation of the strategies of the stakeholders. It is stressed that a proper use of the financial resources resulting from the exploration of the natural gas in Mozambique should be a powerful contribution to the economic and social development of the country.
