Nowadays, a human being has a great probability to die in an hospital, or in the way to that public institution, where death tend to be "hidden". In this article, we intend to analyse and understand the way how death is perceptioned and represented by future health professionals. Here we present an exploratory study with the aim to: apprehend the significance dimensions which structure the death thoughts, sentiments and images, in a population formed by biology, medicine and nursing students, men and women, and analyse how these significance structures differentiate the considered social groups. This study constitutes the first part of an empirical investigation, theoreticaly framed on the social representations model, as it was first proposed by Moscovici (1961)
