To test the psychological dynamics of the group-value model in an organizational change context, a study was conducted with 176 members of an organization. Participants were asked: a) to think of a relevant conflict or problem situation with their supervisor; to evaluate the supervisor^ behavior in relatiòn to three justice dimensions: interactional, procedural and distributive; c) to State the aspects most valued in that type of situations. A test of the model was conducted, for the situation selected by participants, through a mediation analysis at three different levels: organization as a whole, department and workgroup. Taken together, the results obtained globally validate the group-value model: interactional and procedural aspects (relational justice judgements) are the only ones to correlate with pride, respect and behavioral orientations, and are also the ones most valued in general conflict or problem situations with the supervisor. The results obtained also validate our hypotheses: the model seems to work better for the organizational levels closest to the individual (department and workgroup), and also for active-positive and normative behavioral orientations, such as extra-role behaviors, and acceptance and support for change in the department and the workgroup
