Following a previous study, Portuguese psychotherapists members of different societies were studied not only with the aim of establishing, comparatively, the incidence and types of professed eclecticism, but also to compare eclectics and non-eclectics in a number of variables: (1) age, training and professional experience; (2) therapeutic dificulties and coping strategies; and (3) satisfaction with therapeutic work and personal life.
