This paper aims at pointing out the most distinctive aspects of the journal ex æquo throughout its ten years of existence. The journal's objectives and editorial options; its affiliation to APEM – Portuguese Women Studies Association and its independence towards any other organization; the working method and the composition of its editorial board all over this years; the central subjects that have been published up to now; the journal's reorganisation and internationalisation.
