Abstract
OLIVEIRA, João Manuel de; PINTO, Pedro; PENA, Cristiana and COSTA, Carlos Gonçalves. Queer Feminisms: disjunctions, articulations and ressignifications. Ex aequo [online]. 2009, n.20, pp.13-27. ISSN 0874-5560.
This text aims at re-using some conceptual contributions that make evident the way how different problematizations on gender and sexualities produced profound changes in feminist theory, allowing for the emergence of other types of feminisms that contest sexual difference and that later on converged on queer feminisms. Queer feminisms are defined here as modalities of conceptual repositioning that categorically reject the unicity of sexual difference and the idea of «woman» as an anatical possibility for feminist theory. We will present a genealogy of queer feminisms, re-integrating them in the conceptual map of feminisms and queer proposals, but also as conceptual heritage of certain formulations of lesbian feminisms that informed these proposals.
Keywords : Feminisms; queer; ressignification; gender.
