Abstract
QUEIROS, Margarida. Planning sustainability and spatial diversity: A reflection from the Guide to promote gender equality in municipalities. Ex aequo [online]. 2012, n.25, pp.137-148. ISSN 0874-5560.
As strategic plans to struggle against inequalities and tools to solve and share problems in municipalities, municipal plans for gender equality, PMIG, give responsibilities to strategic planning to think space relationally, as a product of interventions and identity - the active space - and to anticipate and respond to the needs and choices throughout life, improving social relationships, quality of life and competitiveness of territories - the ergonomic space. The choice of the area which harbour people the best way that the contemporary world allows implies a reflection on the territory and its qualities: ownership, access and use.
