Resumen

GONZALEZ, Maria Cristina  y  SMITH, Yamile Delgado de. Gender and migration: Retracing paths. Ex aequo [online]. 2015, n.31, pp.143-157. ISSN 0874-5560.

The essay has been divided into two moments: A first look where key aspects are needed to understand the theoretical and conceptual evolution of the topic in question, their ideological marks through the various theoretical orientations that make their epistemic basis. Migration itself is a factor of change in gender relations whose realization depends on the structure of opportunities for women in the contexts of origin and destination. It attempts to reconstruct the way in order to form the theoretical ground on the issue in question. A second stage, characterized by the different gender dimensions of migration processes, which can address a number of strategic issues that point the way to understand the relationship: gender-migration.

Palabras clave : gender; migration; epistemological aspects.
