Abstract

IVEKOVIć, Rada. Political philosophie: Sex-différence (gender) and the partage of reason. Faces de Eva. Estudos sobre a Mulher [online]. 2017, n.38, pp.57-78. ISSN 0874-6885.

The article is an individual and radical retrospective journey of a philosopher who examines her career to detect the moments of asperity, difficulty and prejudice that a woman encounters in her discipline, philosophy. Prejudices that concern not only the thinking subject when it is a woman, but also the subject (or object) thought when it comes to opening philosophy to the feminine. According to the author, the subordinate inclusion of women in society is constitutive of the latter, which reflects, on the plane of thought, elements that are «unthought» or unthinkable, but are transmitted by culture to be universalized. The «political philosophy» of which the author speaks is not only the academic one, reduced to a sub-discipline, but also the fact that there is a politics of philosophy that is always in agreement with the hegemonic and dominant subject. The radically feminist philosophy of the author invites us to exit this straitjacket

Keywords : Partage of reason; philosophy; citizenship; nation; politics of knowledge.
