Abstract

FEMENIAS, María Luisa  and  NOVOA, Silvia Mabel. Between silence and over-exhibition. The problem of violence against women: The argentinian case. Faces de Eva. Estudos sobre a Mulher [online]. 2020, n.44, pp.89-109.  Epub Dec 31, 2020. ISSN 0874-6885.  https://doi.org/10.34619/ce2s-sc39.

In this work, our aim is to analyze, under the Beijin’s Action Platform, the most relevant laws to eradicate violence on women in our country - Argentina. We will briefly enumerate different kinds of “violence”, our specific laws on this regard and the resistance and legal arguments that hinter their implementation. We evaluate the success of the specific laws, using key-concepts that we have been developing for years, to help to explain the fundamentals of our interpretations.

Keywords : violence against women; Law; resistance; over-exhibition.
