This article aims to address the psychosocial impact of the breast cancer disease. The psychosocial factors considered are: Life Events; Perceived Social Support; Quality of Life; Coping; Emotional Control and Necessity of Harmony; and Personality. The article starts with a brief introduction to explain the relevance of this issue, followed by a presentation of each psychosocial factor and its relation to the breast cancer disease.
