Abstract

Purpose: to examine quality of life, anxiety and depression indicators of patient with colorectal cancer. Participants: 29 patients, mean age 43,86 (SD=13,15) years. Instruments: Biosociodemographic questionnaire, WHOQol-bref and Goldberg General Health Questionnaire-12. Results: Patients who had undergone chemotherapy showed better total quality of life (U = 51.000, p<0,05) and physical (t = 45.500, p<0,01), and environment dimensions (U=56.000, p<0,05). Also, patients who had undergone radiotherapy demonstrated better physical (U=60.500, p<0,05) quality of life. There were no significant differences between patients with and without colostomy bag. Conclusion: quality of life is related with type of colorectal cancer treatment.
