People's vulnerability to psychiatric disorders is reviewed with the methodology of Index card (or a Note-taking reading form) with exclusive focus on the work of Joseph Zubin. Emerging the model of vulnerability as a common denominator of nosological causality, clarifying whether the two types of vulnerability (innate and acquired) and the relationship between these events and any stressors of everyday life. Is complemented by the concretization on adjustment of the person in assimilation and accommodation, while adaptative or regressive competencies, depending on development versus impoverishment that they construct. Is finalized with the application of the comprehension of the model of vulnerability to the Patient with Experience of Mental Illness, identifying primary and persistent feature of the person = the vulnerability.
