GADINI, Bianca; JUNIOR, Edward  e  FEIJO, Marianne. Implications from post-traumatic stress disorder in work: a narrative bibliographic review. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.3, pp.644-652. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/18psd190314.

This article treats of the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), focusing on the prevention, referral and care actions to the workers’ health in organizations. A narrative bibliographic review in Scielo and BVS-Psi databases was done, embracing the 2002-2017 period, with a crossing of the “post-traumatic stress” and “work” descriptors, for understanding this issue. It was verified a lack of texts concerning this theme; however, it was possible to understand the vulnerability of workers who exercise high-risk activities, which frequently expose them to violence or death. PTSD symptoms and its consequences to workers and organizations could also be studied, resulting in a need of increase information about mental health and PTSD in the organizations, policies and actions to prevent illness of workers and protocols of referral and coping PTSD when this disease is identified in work. Investment in programs of health and life quality for workers by organizations is important to reduce PTSD on workers.
