Resumen

BARBOSA, Diogo et al. Psychoactive drugs: religious and spiritual treatment in the context of therapeutic communities. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.2, pp.456-461. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/20psd210220.

This is a literature review. To objective was to reflect on the religious and spiritual treatment used in the therapeutic communities and the patient's perception about it. We conducted a survey of data in the databases Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases for articles that covered the thematic published between 2008 and 2017. A total of 958 articles were found. After applying the inclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 10 scientific papers. The results indicate that the treatment offered in the Therapeutic Communities has been successful in the recovery of patients. It is concluded that there is success in the use of religiosity and spirituality in the treatment for the use of psychoactive substances in an abusive way, but it is noted the need to observe ethical aspects in caring, in order to guarantee the autonomy of the patient. We also conclude that there is a need to increase the relationship with basic health units.

Palabras clave : Therapeutic communities; treatment; spirituality; religiosity.
