Abstract

SILVEIRA, Marise et al. Psychometric properties of ohip-14 in adolescents: analysis of the dimensional. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.3, pp.747-756.  Epub Dec 31, 2020. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/20psd210317.

The objective was to investigate the dimensional structure of Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) in adolescents. A probabilistic sample of 763 adolescents from the north of Minas Gerais was used. The construct validity analysis was performed using the confirmatory factorial analysis and by using the convergent validity of four-dimensional OHIP-14 structures. Dimensional structures were assessed using the fit quality indexes: X2/df: chi-square per degrees of freedom ratio; CFI: Comparative Ft Index; GFI: adjustment adequacy index; RMSEA: Root Mean Square Error of Approximation. The validity of the construct showed that the unidimensional model presented unsatisfactory quality indicators (X2/df= 11.849; CFI=0.793; GFI=0.838; RMSEA=0.12) and the three-dimensional boundary indices model (X2/df=9.27; CFI=0.848; GFI=0.875; RMSEA=0.10). The second hierarchical models (X2/df=4.17; CFI=0.953; GFI=0.957; RMSEA=0.065) and third order (X2/df=4.13; CFI=0.957; GFI=0.953; RMSEA=0.064) presented acceptable values. In the analysis of the convergent validity of the structures were observed satisfactory values. The OHIP-14 in adolescents was valid in the hierarchical structures of second and third order and can be used with weighting in the three-dimensional structure.
