Coaching is a methodology that leads the individual towards the achievement of goals. It is characterized as a process of learning and developing behavioral, cognitive and emotional skills. Considering the relevance of the coaching methodology and its impact on quality of life, this study aims to evaluate the effect of Life Coaching on the spirituality, self-esteem and cognitive ability of the elderly. This research is a longitudinal case study using quantitative approach with primary data collection and non-probabilistic sample. Ten group sessions were performed once a week, lasting one hour in the morning. The trials used to evaluate spirituality, self-esteem and cognitive ability were spiritual welfare Scale, Rosenberg Scale and the Mini Mental State Examination, respectively. In addition to the sociodemographic questionnaire collected through personal interview. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Twenty-four elderly people participated in this research, residents of Condomínio do Idoso, most of them were female. The average age was 76.66 (DP ± 6.11) years. Regarding socio-demographic characteristics, 37.50% of the elderly were widowed, 75.00% attended up to four years of study, 66.67% lived alone, 58.33% were evangelical, 75,00% were retired and 62.50% corresponded to the economic class "D-E". The application of Life Coaching was able to significantly improve the total spiritual well-being score, self-esteem and cognitive ability (p = 0.0001) of the studied elderly. However further studies are needed, the research provided advances in the subject.
