TINOCO, Rui et al. Bibliometric analysis of Burnout in healthcare workers. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.1, pp.160-175.  Epub 30-Jun-2023. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/23psd240114.

The present work intends to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the concept of burnout, taking into account the professions most related to health care. or this, a search was carried out on the Web Of Science (WoS) for the time period 01/01/2017 - 03/02/2022, delimiting it to professions related to health care services. An attempt was made to characterize burnout research in areas related to health, taking into account the authors, co-authorships, affiliations, nationalities, the area of knowledge of each professional, their scientific impact and the keywords used. The research was subsequently analyzed using two bibliometric instruments, VOSviewer by Van Eck and Waltman (2010; 2022) and HistCite by Garfield (2009). We highlight the emergence of studies signed by professionals themselves in journals related to their areas, which seems to point towards dimensions related to self-care being an integral part of professional practice. In terms of emerging themes, those related to COVID-19 emerge, as well as keywords related to mental health and resilience. Themes more centered on work performance have an older average time of publication. We also note that keywords related to new technologies are practically absent in our research, which could point to an area of investigation still to be explored.
