BALLEJOS, Kellen; REPPOLD, Caroline; CALVETTI, Prisla  e  OLIVEIRA, Mônica de. Self-compassion assessment and emotional aspects in university students in the health. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.2, pp.620-631.  Epub 31-Out-2023. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/23psd240216.

Due to necessary adaptions after entering undergraduate courses, college students face symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress, which can be minimized through self- compassion. The present study aimed to assess these symptoms in college students, in relation to the self- compassion index. After approval by the Research Ethical Committee, a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach was carried out. Data collection was performed with the REDCap platform using validated instruments (DASS-21 and Scale of Self-Compassion) and socio- demographic questions, with the participation of 121 college students of healthcare courses of a public university. Most participants were female (67.7%), residents of the metropolitan region (95.8%) and with a history of psychological monitoring (57.8%). It was observed that as the levels of stress, anxiety and depression increase, the index of self-compassion decreases. This study contributes to a better understanding of the relationship of these constructs.
