SILVA JUNIOR, Rene  e  SILVA, Carla. Quality of life and associated factors in high-complexity hospital care. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.3, pp.1043-1058.  Epub 31-Dez-2023. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/23psd240321.

We sought to evaluate the quality of life and associated factors among health professionals working in sectors of high hospital complexity for critical and chronic patients. An epidemiological, cross-sectional and analytical study was conducted with 490 professionals from a macro-regional health unit in the north of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The WHOQOL-bref instrument associated with a questionnaire was used to investigate sociodemographic, occupational and health conditions. Descriptive and bivariate analysis was conducted using the chi-square test and multiple model from multiple logistic regression, using the Hosmer Lemeshow test, estimating odds ratio. The lowest means of quality of life were observed in the environment domain. In the social relations domain, the highest means were observed. The lowest perceptions of quality of life were associated with age, professional occupation, depressive symptoms and overweight, while occupation in two or more bonds, hypertension and being a nurse were identified as protective factors. There are significant differences in quality of life among health professionals in relation to the conditions evaluated and efforts are needed to improve quality of life among professionals based on these singularities.
