LIMA, Morgana et al. Men's health and access to primary health care: an integrative review. Psic., Saúde & Doenças [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.3, pp.1142-1152. Epub 31-Dez-2023. ISSN 1645-0086. https://doi.org/10.15309/23psd240328.
The aim of this article is to identify and highlight the factors related to men's access to primary health care. This is an integrative review, in which publications were sought in the LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE and SCIELO databases from 2011 to 2021. Scientific articles were selected, available in full, in Portuguese, English and Spanish and that addressed the integral attention to men's health in primary health care. Results: 14 publications were identified, the data showed that men have difficulty inserting themselves into health actions and activities offered in primary health care. The factors are related to the cultural, historical, social and economic situation and the organization of the care process, which ends up weakening the comprehensiveness of care. Conclusion: therefore, efforts and involvement of the various actors that make up the health network are essential in order to guarantee comprehensiveness, acceptance and expansion of access to services.
