Abstract

Human movement professionals are facing a series of changes in the real world work opportunities. The market exigencies show to be really relevant for these professionals to be an entrepreneur. The aim of this study was to verify the entrepreneur potential of human movement students, and establish relationship with Daher’s (2004) study, verifying possible changes in that potential. The sample comprised 50 fourth grade students aged between 20 and 28 years. Data collection was done using a specific questionnaire to evaluate individual entrepreneur potential applied twice throughout their graduate studies. To data analyses was used descriptive statistics as frequency, mean and standard deviation. Results showed 78% as ´transitory potential´. These results were lower than showed by these students in the first grade (85% were in the transitory potential classification). Comparative analyses of these results indicate needs of improvement in management area to start working in the business world. These results suggest new research to verify the relationship between professional education and ´real world´ work for human movement professionals.
