Abstract

CAMINO-ESTURO, Edorta. The knowledge exchange between Mozambique and the BRICS: Study of student mobility in emerging societies. Cadernos de Estudos Africanos [online]. 2018, n.36, pp.69-86. ISSN 1645-3794.

The dynamic of student mobility in Mozambique and the BRICS is increasing over the period 2011-2015, following the global trend. Within this cluster, Russia represents an academic and scientific reference point for BRICS students, maintaining a central position and a high potential for attracting students. Mozambique, for its part, is in the list of importing countries of students, coming from the African continent for the most part. A paradigm change in traditional African mobility, conditioned by the constant diaspora of students towards Western countries.

Keywords : international student mobility; eligibility index; university; BRICS; Mozambique; Africa.
