Consumer decisions are explained by different situational factors like physical conditions, experiences and store environment. The aim of this study is to understand the consumer behaviour in the grocery goods shopping supermarket process. The way the consumer is prepared to this process, how they decide and how the store managers and owners can improve and attract the consumers to their spaces. The data where obtained through consumer direct inquiries immediately after shopping moments. Despite the grocery and food shopping are the routine acts, the use of shopping list becomes an important companion to decisions. The preferred days to shop are the weekend or the day before. The shopping list is more used by women and individuals with children and every time the shopping act is made with friends the shopping list is less used. The factors more valorised by costumers when realizing shopping are connected to the image of store, brand store, products and their presentation and, they also considered the product and price important. The shopping list user deals with these variables differently from those who don’t use it. Consumers classify attendance, variability of products and promotions as variables they value more in store’s choice.
