This research was applied to the listed companies of open capital listed in the corporate governance levels and to the companies classified in the traditional of the BM & FBOVESPA stock market and had as objective to identify the role of investors’ relationship area. This is an exploratory quantitative study using a survey. It was applied an instrument of research elaborated by researchers and validated by specialists to a sample of 108 respondents. The data were handled by statistics techniques of frequencies distribution and the Kruskal Wallis test was applied. The results shows that the role of investors’ relationship area regarding the authority is differentiated in the companies of New Market level and according to the research conclusions is possible to asseverate that the organizations must delineate with bigger clarity the structure of this area and grow the professionals’ limits of authority.
