Being unquestionable the heterogeneity of scientific studiesconducted over the last decade in the area of ??strategic management, a factthat is retained is that the development of studies focused on the “strategy-as-practice”has not received much attention in the strategic field re search. Accordingly, in thedeveloping of the research field of “strategy-as-practice”, was necessarycreate a methodology of analysis (Oliveira et al., 2008; Jarzabkowski and Spee,2009) where structures a systematic mechanism of observation focused on theestablishment and institutionalization of practices used in the field ofstrategic management, from three different analytical approaches: thepractitioners, the práxis and practices. The reflective nature of this articleabout the recent movement of “strategy-as-practice”, want to illustrate how aset of actions, interactions and negotiations of multiple actors in theconstruction of the strategy can effectively translate into determining factorsconcerning the direction and possible improvement of the organizationalperformance.
