Professionals involved with decision making deal with more uncertainty and risk, and extended studies on perception of social risks arising on the cognitive perspective, assume risk as subjectively defined by the individual and influenced by a variety of psychological, social, institutional and cultural factors. In light of this framework the result of an investigation which included 154 executives and managers was discussed by focusing the analysis on those factors that cause anxiety and fear in the workplace. The research confirms the current perceptions in psychological theories about the intensity and universality of labor concerns.
