Abstract

This research intends to critically review and discuss literature about corporate volunteering. With the increasing strategic commitment concerning corporate social responsibility, activities related to corporate volunteering tend to be higher, because of that is relevant to analyze this issue. This research examines the state of the art of corporate volunteering, framing as a social responsibility tool and presents the concept evolution. We present a research conducted on bibliographic databases, this research was specifically conducted considering themes related to corporate volunteering. In corporate volunteer activities may be involved various stakeholders, and these are identified. The research also identifies the main advantages and disadvantages related to corporate volunteering taking into account the identified stakeholders.
