Abstract

HERNANDEZ DIAZ, José María. Teachers associations and unions in Spain during the transition from Franco dictatorship to democracy (1970-1983). Rev. Lusófona de Educação [online]. 2012, n.22, pp.13-38. ISSN 1645-7250.

This paper analyses the processes of association and free trade unionism emergency teachers in Spain leaving Franco's dictatorship and enters democracy and freedom. It has provided a broad concept of political transition, based on the educational reform of 1970 to the beginning of the socialist government in 1983 and their educational proposals for change. Associations, unions and educational reform movements shaping the fields of construction of professional identity and democratic broad section of teachers, teachers in Spain in a key decade in its modern history, as is that of the seventies of the century XX.
