Abstract

PEREIRA, Vítor. «Will I see Lisbon?». Frenchs’ Peregrination on the Revolutionary Process in Course. Relações Internacionais [online]. 2010, n.25, pp.91-105. ISSN 1645-9199.

In Portugal, between April 25, 1974 and November 25, 1975, the revolutionary process elicited an unusual interest in France. Hundreds of Frenchs came to Portugal, mainly to Lisbon, to know, live and participate in the Revolution. Which reasons explain this enthusiasm and peregrination? What were the peregrines looking for in Portugal? Did these singular tourists have any influence on PREC? This article describes how the peregrination could be included on French cultural developments of 1968, and how it could be articulated with French internal and political debates.

Keywords : PREC; France-Portugal relationship; May 68; intellectuals.
