FONSECA JR., Gelson. Brazilian foreign policy: patterns and discontinuities in the republican period. Relações Internacionais [online]. 2011, n.29, pp.15-32. ISSN 1645-9199.

In this way, this article analyses Brazilian foreign policy starting from an understanding of the concept of continuity, proceeding then with the presentation of some of the scenarios of Brazilian diplomatic action since the Republic, including South America, the United States of America, multilateralism, as well as relations with Europe and Africa.
