Abstract

NETO, Octavio Amorim. The 2015-2016 Brazilian political crisis: diagnostic, lesions and prophylaxis. Relações Internacionais [online]. 2016, n.52, pp.43-54. ISSN 1645-9199.

This article analyzes the necessary and sufficient conditions of the profound political and economic crisis that Brazil experienced in 2015-2016. The possible consequences of the crisis for democracy, the system of government and the party system are also discussed. The conclusion proposes reforms that can minimize the main problems arising from the country's institutional structure.
