The Sino-Cape Verdean relations still began in the context of decolonization, have brought relevant financial flows to the African archipelago. It includes the construction of infrastructure, support in the education and health areas. This essay analyses the particularities of this cooperation in the general context of the Chinese presence in Africa. It intends to examine the strategic economic assets of the African archipelago that motivate Chinese interests in the region and its variables.
