Abstract

This article highlights the strong continuity of Germany´s European policy in a long-term perspective, in spite of mounting global challenges and multiple crises of European integration as well as growing domestic constraints Germany remains to be Europe-friendly and believes in the deepening of European integration. During its 2020 EU presidency has moving towards the southern member states with a renewed preference for the strengthening of supranational mechanisms in coping with the economic fall-out of the Corona pandemic.
