Resumen

DAEHNHARDT, Patrícia. NATO after a decade of crisis. Towards the new strategic concept. Relações Internacionais [online]. 2021, n.72, pp.15-41.  Epub 31-Dic-2021. ISSN 1645-9199.  https://doi.org/10.23906/ri2021.72a02.

Analysing NATO’s role in the last decade implies looking at the Alliance as a collective defense organization at a time when the international system is in a continuous crisis of international transition. Starting from the transformations of the transatlantic relationship within NATO between 2010 and 2021, this article analyses the “NATO 2030” report, the NATO summit and Biden’s visit to Europe in 2021 and the preparation of the adoption of the new Strategic Concept at the NATO summit in Madrid in June 2022 to respond to the new challenges and threats that the Alliance will face in the coming decade.

Palabras clave : Transatlantic relationship; “NATO 2030”; NATO’s new Strategic Concept; Portugal.
