TEIXEIRA, Rômulo Vasconcelos; LIMA, Willamy de Sousa; ANDRADE, Lucas Norberto de  and  FRANCA, Francisco Clineu Queiroz. Factors that lead elderly to practice hydrogymnastics. Motri. [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.1, pp.175-178. ISSN 1646-107X.

The objective of the present study was to investigate the main reasons that lead elders to seek hydrogymnastics as a practice of physical activity. We investigated 60 elderly individuals of both sexes who practice water aerobics. There was a discrepancy with respect to the gender of the participants, where 86.7% of the audience was women and only 13.3% were men. It could be concluded that the medical indication was the main reason that lead the elderly to seek the practice of water aerobics (56.7%).
