The open Latarjet procedure has shown great results in the treatment of recurrent instability. However, only with arthroscopy it becomes possible to diagnose and treat several bony and soft tissue lesions associated with instability. Since the procedure started being done arthroscopically, the indications have become clearer, the technique  as evolved, and the results have improved, with the association of this procedure to the advantages of minimally invasive surgery.
