The neglected rupture of the patellar tendon is a rare lesion. We report a case in an adult who suffered a fall while running to take a bus. The lesion was treated with surgical repair using transbone sutures associated with reforce of the semitendinosus. The objetive of this research was to present a rare case of neglected rupture of the patellar tendon developing extensive post-traumatic ossification.
