Abstract

SARMENTO, Marco; MARTINS, Augusto; PEDRO, João  and  MARTINS, Samuel. Weaver Dunn modificado no tratamento de luxações acromio-claviculares do grau III. Rev. Port. Ortop. Traum. [online]. 2014, vol.22, n.4, pp.390-397. ISSN 1646-2122.

Grade III acromio-clavicular dislocations are a common injury in young patients. Correct treatment remains controversial between conservative and surgical treatment particularly related to the best technique to use. The authors present their experience using the modified Weaver-Dunn procedure, in a group of 16 patients in the acute phase of injury (<3 weeks). Good overall functional results were achieved evaluated on a semi-objective scale (Imatani), supported on objective data such as the degree of reduction and stability of the AC joint.

Keywords : Acromio-clavicular joint; dislocation; modified Weaver Dunn; osteolysis.
