Abstract

VASQUES, André L. et al. Síndrome do Canal Cárpico em doente com Anastomose de Martin-Gruber e Sinostose Rádio-Cubital Proximal Congénita: caso clínico. Rev. Port. Ortop. Traum. [online]. 2015, vol.23, n.3, pp.250-256. ISSN 1646-2122.

Martin-Gruber anastomosis is a confounding factor in the clinical diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome to which clinicians are not usually alert. Its association with congenital proximal radio-ulnar synostosis is not yet described in the indexed literature, possibly due to the rarity of both conditions. We present a case of a patient with a clinical picture of bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome, associated with Martin-Gruber anastomosis and proximal bilateral radioulnar synostosis, who presented a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.

Keywords : Martin-Gruber Anastomosis; Congenital Radio-Ulnar Synostosis; Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
