Abstract

The aim of this article is to observe the configuration of the audiovisual resources in the second generation of journalistic products for tablets use only. For this purpose, the case study method was used as the main methodological strategy. The sample, composed of second generation autochthonous products, includes La Presse +, Mail plus and El Mundo de la Tarde. The article discusses, first, one of the most important potentialities of online media: the multimediality. Then defines the second generation of autochthonous journalistic products for tablets, based on the phases of digital journalism and audiovisual webjournalism. Finally, our intention is to characterize this second generation based on the trends that distinguish it to the first one, analyzing the use of audiovisual resources.
