A Smart University focuses on improving its technological infrastructure for achieving their quality educational goals. This paper presents the key factors for adopting two smart technologies: Big Data and the Internet of Things. This characterization and integration allow us to conclude about the need for technology alignment with the organization's processes, demanding more interaction with the high management.
